About Comfy Critter

Hi, we’re Rai Olivier and Nate Larson and this is our dog Birdie. We opened Comfy Critter in 2021 and have been providing quality pet care to the Queen Anne area ever since. We have been working professionally in the pet industry for a combined 13 years with experience in pet sitting, dog walking, medication administration, pet massage, and pack management. We have three other pets at home in addition to Birdie- Bill the cat, Buddy the bearded dragon, and Butkus the Pacman frog.

Our mission at Comfy Critter is to provide reliable and specialized care for the pets of Queen Anne. We are animal lovers through and through, and this drives our commitment to excellent service for every client. Our hope is that you feel comfortable that your pet is safe and in good hands while in our care. Whether it is a fun pack walk for your pup, a specialized massage for your pet’s health and well-being, vacation drop-ins for your beloved feline, or feeding and socializing for your small critter, we are here to provide peace of mind and cute photos!

Meet our team!

Rai (They/He)

Rai is a pet care professional with years of experience in the pet care industry from dog daycare, bathing, to cat sitting, critter care, and dog walking. Rai loves bonding with pack dogs, gaining the trust of shy kitties, and learning about how to care for new critters. In their spare time Rai enjoys crafting, watching movies and TV with Nate, seeing live music, and playing cozy games on the Switch.

Nate (He/They)

Nate has been working professionally in the pet care industry since 2016. Nate started out as a dog handler managing large packs of over 50 dogs at a daycare facility and spent years working as a private dog walker and pet sitter. Nate received his certification in Small Animal Massage and founded Comfy Critter with Rai in 2021. Whether providing a safe space to romp with their pals at Off Leash or giving comfort to an aging pet through massage, Nate loves helping animals live their happiest lives.

Birdie

Birdie is our dog and Comfy Critter’s Dog Ambassador. Birdie accompanies us on Pack Walks and Off Leash Play, and she is the first buddy new dogs will meet when we are integrating them into the pack. She is a two year old medium-sized mix of mostly Australian Cattle Dog, miniature Doberman Pinscher, and Boston terrier. Birdie loves to zoom around with the other dogs, and chew on chuck-it balls. She naps as hard as she plays and loves to get cuddly with her dads after work.

  • We have cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, fish, frogs, reptiles, and birds.

  • Yes! We are happy to follow any home care instructions you leave for us including plant watering, picking up mail/packages, maintaining temperature within the home, and more.

  • Yes, we offer 2 hour time windows between the hours of 8am-8pm.

  • Yes. For an additional $5 we are available late evenings 6-8pm and and for an additional $10 we are available on weekends.

  • Yes, we offer availability on every federal holiday with a 50% fee.

  • We do our best to accommodate every visit as long as it is safe to do so. We offer a full refund if your visit is canceled due to extreme weather.
