Pack Walks

Our Pack Walks are perfect for social dogs who enjoy the company of other canines. For $50 (+$25 for each additional dog from the same home), your pet will join our pack for a 60-minute leashed walk at a favorite park or local trail. We use this service to introduce new dogs into our pack safely and provide your dog with a fun and engaging exercise experience in the case of a yard not being available due to excessive mud/etc.

Why Choose Our Pack Services?

Our Commitment to Care and Safety

Your dog’s safety is our top priority. We’re pet CPR and first aid certified, fully licensed, and insured. We take a safety focused approach to pack outings with small pack sizes of no more than 6 dogs and renting private fenced yards. We take the time to introduce each dog into the group slowly over the course of several walks. We have combined 13 years of experience in the pet care industry, so you can trust that your pet is in good hands.

Our Commitment to our Clients

We strive to enrich the lives of pets and their guardians by providing a safe and fun outlet for dogs to run, play, sniff, and get some energy out. We believe in providing a caring and reliable service that gives your dog the exercise and enrichment that they need.

Our Commitment to Consistency

With every pack outing, you will receive photos, a detailed update, and a report card with potty break details and more. Easy automated scheduling through our app ensures that we are there when you need us.

About Off Leash Play

Off leash play is available for an hour every weekday for our pack of approved dogs and takes place in a private rented yard. This is a great option for pups who like to run and play hard or sniff and explore without all the unknowns of public dog parks. Off Leash Play is a great way for your dog to socialize, enjoy an area outside of their neighborhood, get exercise, and gain confidence. This is a popular service, and all our Pack dogs get so excited when its time to go run and romp with their buddies!

We rent yards on Sniffspot and Rome. These are apps that allow for rental of private yards for set periods of time. This is a valuable space for your pup to play and socialize if they are dog selective or reactive. We take time to introduce all dogs to each other on a leashed Pack Walk and get them used to riding in the car together to make sure they are a good candidate for Pack Play before they play off leash.

How do I know if my dog is a good match for Off Leash Play?

Dogs who are a good match for our pack will:

  • be respectful of other dogs and easy to redirect

  • love to run and romp, or love to sniff and explore

  • enjoy companionship of other dogs and humans

  • be able to stay calm with other dogs in a small space (car rides)

  • listen and respond to commands well

We have had great success with shy and anxious dogs coming out of their shells after attending Off Leash Play sessions with us. We are happy to work with your pup and their needs as long as they are happy to work with us! All types of personalities are welcome, from rowdy players to independent pups. We have no breed or size restrictions (as long as we have room in the car!).

Here is our onboarding process for integrating new dogs into our pack:

  1. We take your dog on 1-2 private walks so that we can get to know your dog and assess if they are a good fit. If it seems like your pup needs more time to get comfortable with us, we may suggest additional walks.

  2. We introduce our dog Birdie and take them on one or more buddy walks. Birdie attends many Pack outings with us, so this ensures that they already have a good friend when they start to play with the group.

  3. We take your dog for a leashed pack walk in your neighborhood. We will bring the pack to you this time. We may give them a chance to try a short ride in the car with the other dogs after walking together to practice for the next step.

  4. We take your dog for another leashed Pack Walk on a nearby trail if more time is needed, otherwise they are welcome to join Off Leash Play if they seem ready to play!

FAQs

  • The first step is to fill out the new client application above and schedule a meet and greet. After meeting, we will take your dog on a couple solo walks so they can get to know us and we can assess whether they will be a good fit for our group. If all goes well, we will start slowly introducing them to pack dogs, taking them on pack walks, and finally having them join the off leash group! Taking our time with the onboarding procedure helps ensure a smooth introduction for new dogs.

  • Each pack outing will include at least two dogs and no more than six.

  • We begin pickups between 9:30-10am, take the group of dogs out for an hour, and return them home between 11:30-1pm.

  • We rent yards in Seattle through the Sniffspot and Rome apps. These rental yards are private and fully fenced.

  • The first Pack Walk your dog participates in will take place in your own neighborhood. After that, we take the group in the car to nearby parks and trails such as the Ship Canal trail, Elliot Bay Trail, or Discovery Park.

  • If it is too rainy or muddy to play in the usual rental yards, we have an option for an indoor play space, another outdoor space with Astroturf, or we may take them for a Pack Walk on a paved trail.

  • We strongly believe in the power or positive training and will never punish your dog. We reinforce wanted behaviors with praise and treats. We prefer not to use aversive training tools such as prong collars and e collars.
